The look you give when someone says they don’t need a realtor® to sell their house….
In all seriousness, if you are contemplating taking on the task of selling your home without the help of an agent-ask yourself the following:
* Do you know the real market value of your home and do you have access to what the homes in your neighborhood are going for- (Zillow isn’t the way to go)?
*Do you have a budget for professional photos or marketing to get your house in front of buyers?
*Do you know how to qualify buyers?
*Can you negotiate to ensure both you and the buyer get what you need to out of the sell/purchase?
* Do you know how to write a contract and are you familiar with all the necessary laws to ensure the sell goes smoothly?
* Do you know how to manage the selling process or how to navigate the process when the buyer uses an agent and you don’t?
Trust me, I know it can be tempting to try and save a little and go it alone. The truth is, you actually stand to lose a lot more than you could potentially save by not using a professional.
