Best Of The Best: Niche Names Stevenson Top Public School District In America For 2023!

Niche, the leading platform connecting students and families with colleges and schools, has just published its new 2023 Best Schools and Districts rankings and Stevenson is the No. 1 Public School District in America, as well as the No. 1 Open-Enrollment Public High School in Illinois.

Now in their ninth year, the rankings include updated data for 92,743 public schools, 30,112 private schools, and 11,820 school districts nationwide.

The top five Best School Districts in America come from just two major metropolitan areas, Chicago and New York. Stevenson earned the No. 1 spot, followed by Glenbrook High Schools District 225 in the No. 2 spot. The remainder of the top five are all located on Long Island in New York. Great Neck Public Schools, Jericho Union Free School District, and Syosset Central School District rank No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5 respectively.
