Two new spots just opened in Amherst and you don't want to miss them!

🍦 Millie's Homemade Ice Cream landed at The Boulevard this past June. The Pittsburgh-based shop (their first NY location!) is now scooping more than 20 flavors, including cookie dough, dulce de leche, and caramel apple dumpling, plus a solid dairy-free lineup with mango, fresh mint chip, and brownie batter.

The popular bakery is opening a second location this September in Depew, taking over the former Chicalilah Desserts and Illusions Events cafe space!

Founder Len Grosso started The Muffin Man in May 2025 with just a food trailer. By last fall, he'd opened his first storefront at 1286 French Road in Cheektowaga. Now he's going bigger.

Ready for a full day of live blues music that won't cost you a cent?

The Niagara Falls Blues Festival returns to Old Falls Street on September 19th. This is the 17th year the festival has brought live blues to the shadow of the Falls.

It's a free outdoor event with live music from multiple acts, plus food and vendors on site. The festival has become a signature part of the city's music heritage and 17 years in, it's one of the longest running free music events in the region.

Did you know Clarence is the oldest town in all of Erie County?!

It was established in 1808 and was the first town in the county named after English royalty.

But the story starts even earlier, in 1799, with Asa Ransom, a silversmith who built the first tavern and gristmill in Western New York after answering a state offer for settlers willing to run an inn.

Fun fact: Main Street was once part of the Old Iroquois Trail. So next time you're driving down Main, remember you're rolling through the oldest town in the county.
