In 1978, Gary joined the management team of Hunt Real Estate by being named manager of the Amherst office. He was named Vice President of Hunt Real Estate in 1984 and since has been part of the company’s executive Management team having been named as Senior Vice President. in marketing programs Seller Select and Buyers Edge. In 1992 Gary served a year as President of the Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors. While his activity continued at the local level he became increasingly involved in the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR). For the past twenty years he has been an integral part in the governing committees at the State Association and chaired Legislative, Legal Action, Convention, Mortgage Finance, Executive, Nominating, Organization Planning, Education, and Real Property Tax task force that led to the Star Tax Relief Legislation. In 2005 he served as President of the New York State Association of Realtors. Gary was honored by both Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors and New York State Association of Realtors as their Realtor of the Year in 2001. At the National Association of Realtors he has served on Conventional Financing and Lending, Multiple Listing Policy, Environmental, Political Communication, Sub prime Working Group on Predatory Lending and Chaired the Business Technology and Information System Forum and is currently a National Director. Gary served as President of Buffalo/Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives in 2002 and was Chairman of the Kenmore Business Development Committee. He chaired the Lake Chautauqua Lutheran Center Board and is a Trustee on the Niagara Lutheran Health Foundation.
