Loads of Love Project Update:
1. We secured $300k from a private investor. 🙌🏾🙏🏾
2. The project is under review with The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) credit committee 🤞🏾
3. $250K county grant will sunset if not disbursed by eoy; which will leave a funding gap.😧😳
4. BUBBLE UP Foundation 501c3 nonprofit will operate the laundromat. Fundraising goal of $150k. Stay tuned!
5. $10k water flow study is required by BSA due to the risk of the building pumping more than 2500 gallons/day into the sewer (which is highly unlikely due to the specs of the machines) but this is a non negotiable step.💸🙄
6. Environmental Phase II -($12k) is underway. This determine if the soil is toxic and advises steps for remediation. ☢️💲
7. Need a general contractor that will provide a GMP (guarantee max price). 🧐🤔
8. Making sure our partners get paid! Despite when the project gets built. 💵 🫡
9. Check-ins with equipment distributor.

Thank you ESD, Governor Hochul, and my beloved city of Buffalo for supporting our work and the Loads of Love project. We were selected to receive an additional $387k, totaling $887,000 of NYS grant funding!! Loads of Love is loading!! 🙌🏾

Governor Hochul announced a significant investment in Buffalo’s East Side, awarding $10 million from the new East Side Building Fund to 35 commercial and mixed-use projects.
