A PUBLIC celebration is in order!!!

​We are thrilled to announce that Allen Mendez—formerly our Real Estate Graduate Student Intern—has officially stepped into the permanent role of Real Estate & Development Associate at The Hallmark Firm! While this transition happened earlier this summer, we couldn't let another moment pass without publicly celebrating his massive elevation.

​From day one, Allen has proven to be an invaluable teammate. Smart, endlessly resourceful, and remarkably hardworking, he embodies the game-changing nature of The Hallmark Effect. He approaches his work with a fearless boldness, paired with a wisdom and humility far beyond his years. He is always eager to learn, grow, and serve.

​We are deeply grateful that Allen chose to plant his roots and continue his growth right here at Hallmark. We are also immensely thankful to his friends and family back in Westchester for sharing him with us as we plow ahead in the WNY community and beyond!

Congratulations to one of Hallmark's "OG's", Katie Segarra, MUP, WEDG 🎉 . Kate has been with the firm from our humble beginnings and continues to help shape HPD everyday. She has grown from a shy, but quietly powerful General Planner, to a young professional that leads with grace, integrity, and boldness. She is a dedicated, resourceful, kind, forever learner, who puts her hands to the plow everyday with intention to contribute as a difference maker. She consistently shows up for her teammates and always exhibits a can-do attitude with positivity. Katie is a solution-oriented thinker, who is hardworking, and independently executes new and exciting ways to approach her role in each project she's assigned. Over the years, she has nurtured, developed and sharpened others as she has evolved herself. Along with all that she has poured into the Hallmark team and WNY Community, she has contributed even more to her family. She and her husband, Dan recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their lives (who we all have adopted), who adds an even greater element of joy to her life. We are grateful for Katie and look forward to many years of meaningful community impact, and the delivery of 'The Hallmark Effect'. We are thrilled to announce that Keiah L. Shauku is joining Hallmark Planning & Development as our new Strategic Initiatives Manager! At Hallmark, our core passion is driving equitable community development and helping to ensure fair distribution of opportunity. We connected with Keiah some time ago, but the timing couldn't be better to add her to the team. Her entire career reflects a deep, shared commitment to advancing equitable development, amplifying community voices, and building powerful cross-sector partnerships. Since she is also very humble, allow us to highlight just a few drops of the pure awesomeness that she'll add to our already fabulous team.

> Keiah brings over a decade of experience driving organizational growth, community systems change, and operational strategy right here in the Western New York region.

> She is a Community Engagement Expert in her own right- From establishing impactful Community Advisory Councils to launching neighborhood-level technical assistance initiatives, Keiah knows how to turn community priorities into scalable realities.

> She's a Multi-Talented Innovator- Beyond her extensive background in civic and nonprofit leadership, Keiah is a U.S. Army veteran, fluent in Korean, proficient in Spanish, and even brings technical coding skills to our cross-functional team.

In her new role, Keiah will be operating across our planning, real estate, and development divisions to guide high-level engagement strategies, steward special initiatives, and streamline our operational efficiency.
