A detail of my Beach House quilt :In a quiet corner of my beach house stands my husband’s grandmother’s 150 year old rocking chair together with a copy of a Guarneri print by Currier & Ives. You can see the entire quilt, if you like, at our Flagler Beach office.

So while drinking coffee on the deck this week we saw surveyors surveying the lot next door. Maybe because I own a title company, I decided to check out what was going on. It appeared that there was a pending contract on it on the various internet sights— but I never saw a for sale sign so I called the absentee owner to find out if he did sell it. My hunch was right. Someone was trying to fraudulently sell his lot. Luckily he found out before the sale and saved a lot of trouble for an innocent buyer. Title insurance is a must in these treacherous times.
