I know I saw this every time, but this one meant a lot to me (they all do!). I have been working with this sweet buyer family for almost two years. Despite multiple offers bringing us thiiiiis close (ugh, I hate being offered backup!), they never lost hope and always had a sunny disposition. And, wouldn’t you know it! This house that finally worked out for them is honestly my favorite of every house we ever toured! It’s big enough for their family, close to work, the best fully fenced backyard (hello new family dog!) and totally move in ready. I know it can be rough out there as a buyer, but don’t lose hope! Your house is out there too.

I first started working with these buyer clients when she found out she was pregnant with their third child and needed a bigger home. That baby is now in preschool. So, sometimes, one house offer, one home! Other times…it takes longer. However, my client (and friend!) only wanted to see exceptionally beautiful homes, which makes it SO fun. We saw so many beautiful homes, but when she walked in to this beauty, she KNEW! This is it! And, look at this courtyard - how could you not?! The sellers had lived here for 25 years and put so much love and care and attention into this beautiful Spanish charmer. I wouldn’t be surprised if my clients spent another 25 years here! It’s just that type of house.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten this question over the years and my answer is always: “Well, sure, but do you have a crystal ball you’re not sharing with me?” Short of being able to predict the future and some unknown, potential precipitous “drop” in real estate prices, what exactly would you be waiting for? I do know that every client I’ve gotten this question from wishes now they had bought then rather than “wait for the crash” that hasn’t come. If you have the means and ability and desire to buy now, waiting for doomsday just doesn’t seem like a good strategy. Yes, there will be market ups and downs, but if you plan to be in your house for more than a few years and can afford the mortgage (and can still get these crazy low interest rates), I can’t advise a “wish for recession” plan of action.

This one was especially fun. My buyer clients are the sweetest couple with impeccable taste. All of the houses we toured were gorgeous but this one they ended up with was really special - and with the most amazing views. The sellers were at the final walkthrough and not a dry eye was in the house as they handed over the keys from one sweet owner of 25 years to the new happy owners. 🥲

Before and after! A recent client loved the location, size…a lot about the house I helped them buy. They didn’t love the bathroom. So, they redid it! I can’t wait to see what they do with the rest of the house. With a little help, it’s going to be amazing and perfect for their needs!
