Eagle project coming up!!! Our oldest baby girl!! So darn proud! šš Sharing Charlotteās message:
Hello,
My name is Charlotte LeBaron, and I am a senior at Delphi Academy of Los Angeles. As soon as the Boy Scouts of America opened up thier program to girls, I joined a troop and started on my incredible scouting journey. I have learned many leadership skills, outdoor skills, gone on adventures to Catalina Island, canoed on the Great Lakes for a week, and spent many hours doing community service. Now, as my journey is coming to a close, I am emarking upon what has been the hardest challege yet: My Eagle Scout project.
An Eagle Scout project is a service project developed, planned, and executed by the Scout. It is designed to test their ability to organize their thoughts, plan a project, fundraise, research materials, hone in on their goals, hold professional communication lines, and work with others.
For my project, I will be constructing and painting five picnic tables out of red wood to provide seating in Delphiās lower field as well as repainting two older tables and placing them in Delphiās upper seating area.
In order to accomplish my project, I will need to raise funds to purchase the red wood, screws, nuts, bolts, paintbrushes, rocks, etc. In all, I will need to raise about $2,500 to run this project smoothly, and have quality materials that will last for years to come. This is how I will ensure my project is meaningful, has lasting impact, and adds to the school in a helpful anf aesthetic way.
I hope to reach my fundraising goal by November 13th, as I am scheduled to start the building on November 19th. If you are interested in contributing to this project, you can send your donation using by the following:
