Do one thing for your house everyday. I see so many homes in disrepair and I know that life happens and we fall behind on upkeep, but an easy way to catch up and maintain your home, is to do one thing for your house, everyday. I don't mean daily chores like laundry, dishes or vacuuming. I am referring to things like, cleaning the gutters, fixing that broken hinge, cleaning out your dryer vent, getting the moss of the roof, pressure washing the driveway, replacing a fence board, etc. The little things add up. Take pride in your home. It's an investment.

Is your current home working for you?

Life has changed quite a bit for my wife and I since we bought our current home. The size is about right, although I feel we need more storage space. The layout is good, nothing I'd really change there. But the lot itself has been a struggle to work with keeping our future plans in mind. It's sloped and has multiple tiers in the backyard. Less than ideal for gardening, entertaining, ease of maintenance, etc. Having a sloped driveway also hasn't helped my enjoyment of vehicle maintenance, i.e. not safe to jack up on. Finally, our location needs have changed. We no longer need to be as close to the city and major transportation as we once did. I like our house and it's location is certainly convenient, but our priorities may have changed.

What would you change about your current home? Is a move in your future too?
