Transaction #4 of 2025 – A Special One!

This transaction was a little different than usual—it wasn’t a sale but a rental. I don’t typically handle rentals, but when it’s for close friends or family, I’m always happy to help.

The truth is, rentals can be just as tough—if not tougher—than sales. They require just as much time and effort, but they pay about 90% less. So why take them on? Because helping the people closest to me find the right home is always worth it.

This one was a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it just as rewarding as any sale. Congrats to my client on securing the perfect place!

Closing countdown #3!🎉

Sometimes the best plans are the ones we don’t see coming!

Daphne and Reynaldo came to me with a very specific goal: find a temporary home they could live in for just a year before turning it into a rental and moving again. But life has a funny way of surprising us!

After just a few days of showings, we stumbled upon the perfect house 🏡 —though it was in an area they hadn’t even considered. The moment they stepped inside, they knew this wasn’t going to be a temporary stop. They fell in love, and now they’ve decided to call this house home for many, many years to come.

They’ve already made plans to customize every corner, turning it into the family home of their dreams. It’s amazing to witness how quickly a house can feel like “the one” when everything aligns just right.

Today, Where The Heart Is Realty Group had the incredible honor of returning to a middle school that holds a special place in our story. Both Fatemah and Dakota once walked these same halls as students, and today, we stood in front of those very classrooms to speak with the next generation about the world of real estate.

We shared the good, the bad, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way, hoping to inspire these young minds to dream big and see the possibilities in their future. The students were curious, engaged, and eager to learn about what it takes to succeed in this industry—and in life.

It’s truly humbling to have the opportunity to pour into the next generation, especially in a place where our own dreams first began. We are so grateful for the invitation to connect, motivate, and encourage these bright young minds.

Two years ago, in my first six months as a real estate agent, I had the honor of helping the sweetest family purchase their very first home. They came to me after another agent wouldn’t give them the time of day, and I was determined to make sure they felt seen, heard, and cared for.

Today, after closing on the sale of that home, as they prepare to move to another state for exciting new opportunities, I can’t help but reflect on what a beautiful journey it’s been. Hearing them say that these past two years have been the best of their lives truly drives home how meaningful this work is.

Knowing they’re moving away is bittersweet. While I won’t get to continue walking alongside them as they take their next steps, I am so proud of all they’ve achieved and excited for what’s ahead.

Last week, Fatemah and I had the honor of delivering breakfast and lunch to several local fire stations. This experience was especially meaningful for Fatemah, whose husband is a firefighter, making this gesture feel personal and close to home. It was a small way to show our gratitude for the sacrifices these brave men and women make every day.

🎃 to one of the scariest experiences in my real estate journey… and the transaction that forever shaped the Realtor I am today.

Halloween season might bring ghosts and ghouls, but buying or selling a home should never feel spooky! However, years ago, we went through a nightmare of a transaction that could rival any Halloween horror story.

We’d hired a “friend” to help us sell our house and buy our new home in Azle (now our Airbnb). The sellers were realtors and flippers who happened to know our agent. When shady stuff started coming to light, we called it out—only to feel betrayed by our own agent, who took the sellers’ side and pressured us into closing, seemingly to ensure her payday. We definitely made lemonade from those lemons though. Savannah put her design skills to work on the home and after living there for 11 months, we turned it into the thriving Airbnb it is today!

That experience opened my eyes to the darker side of this business and taught me exactly how not to treat clients. Since that day, I’ve made it my mission to be the kind of agent who always has my clients’ backs, no matter what. I’ve seen the pitfalls, and I know the power of putting clients first.
