Halloween is Saturday, Oct. 31. Trick-or-treat hours are in the graphic, and Spooky City is taking over historic downtown Burlington with free hayrides, coffin races, and trick-or-treating at the downtown businesses.

Ask any mom what she wants in her next home and the mudroom comes up almost every time, especially in Wisconsin, where we go from snow boots to rain boots to soccer cleats in a single season. 😅

Here are 3 things I hear from Burlington moms when they're house hunting:

🧥 A landing spot. Hooks, a bench, and cubbies mean backpacks and coats have a home that isn't your kitchen floor.

👟 Room for all the shoes. Bonus points for built-in storage so you're not tripping over them.

🚪 An easy entry. A back door or garage entrance where everyone can drop the mess and keep moving.
