Consistency fills the room.
Last year, at my Uncle Bob’s funeral, the church was full—not because he chased attention, but because he showed up for people consistently over many years.
He hosted Christmas dinner year after year, even when he arrived late because he’d been out fighting a fire. Every winter, he hitched up the horses and took the family around town for a sleigh ride. And no matter how different our worlds were, he always took time to ask how I was doing and how my work was going.
None of those moments felt extraordinary at the time. Together, they explained why the room was full.
In real estate—and in life—success isn’t built by being loud or always visible. It’s built by being reliable. By following through. By showing up when it matters.
People may not remember every conversation, but they remember how you made them feel—and whether they could count on you.
Final thought:
You don’t build trust by trying to fill the room. You build it by showing up consistently for the people already in your life.
