🌊 BEACH UPDATE: Still open, still beautiful, and that water is showing off! 💅

Our beach at Lighthouse View is OPEN and looking absolutely gorgeous! Nourishment is underway, but work is not currently taking place directly in front of our property, so guests are still enjoying our beautiful stretch of sand. 🏖️

And can we take a moment for that water?! The Atlantic clearly understood the assignment today. Just look at those gorgeous shades of blue! 😍

🏖️ BEACH NOURISHMENT UPDATE 🏖️

Guess who’s back? Our official beach “gatekeeper!” 😂 His return means nourishment work has officially reached our stretch of beach again!

The gatekeeper and orange fencing are currently marking where the beach is closed heading south. The north end remains open and usable, and as you can see from the canopies, guests are still out there enjoying the sunshine, sand, and ocean! ☀️🌊

We are nearing the finish line for nourishment, and it is exciting to see all that beautiful new sand taking shape! The overall Buxton project remains on schedule for completion by September 30, weather and ocean conditions permitting.

For now, please respect the gatekeeper, stay behind the orange fencing, and enjoy the open north end of the beach. He takes his job very seriously! 😉🦺

🌊✨ Happy National Lighthouse Day! ✨🌊

Here at Lighthouse View, we may be a little biased, but there’s nothing quite like having the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse as our neighbor! 💅

This year, our beloved beacon is getting some extra TLC as the National Park Service continues an extensive restoration project to preserve this piece of Outer Banks history for generations to come. 🔨✨

💡 A few fun Cape Hatteras Lighthouse facts:

🔦 The current lighthouse was first lit in 1870.

🖤 Its famous black and white spiral pattern was added in 1873.

📏 Standing nearly 200 feet tall, it is the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States!

🚚 In 1999, the entire lighthouse was moved 2,900 feet inland to protect it from coastal erosion. Talk about a moving experience! 😄

While the lighthouse is currently closed for climbing during restoration, you can still visit the grounds and admire this incredible Hatteras Island landmark from below. We can’t wait to see her all spruced up! 🖤🤍

This sweet moment absolutely made our day! 💙

Meet Lydia, our very first official shell hunter on the newly reopened beach! 🥹✨

On the way to the beach with her mommy, Lydia spotted shells in the sand and just couldn’t resist stopping to see what treasures she could find. 🐚💕 That’s what beach days are all about!

Seeing little moments like this reminds us why we’ve all been so excited for this day. The laughter, the adventures, the shell collections, and the memories are back! ☀️🏖️🌊

WE. ARE. SO. EXCITED!!! 💙💙💙

The flags came down, and within minutes our beach was filled with smiling faces, families, beach chairs, umbrellas, and happy guests enjoying the ocean once again! 🏖️🥹🌊 There is nothing better than seeing everyone back where they belong!

The sand is back, the waves are rolling, and it’s finally time to kick off those shoes and head to the beach! 🌴🌊🐚☀️ Whether you’re building sandcastles, hunting for shells, soaking up the sunshine, or just enjoying that salty ocean breeze, we’re celebrating right alongside you! 😍🏖️

We know you’ve all been waiting patiently, and we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us through this journey! ❤️

📣 Just a quick heads up! When the second dredge arrives around August 15, there will likely be another short temporary beach closure while the final nourishment work is completed. We’ll keep everyone updated every step of the way!
