This World Ocean Day, we encourage everyone to help protect our coastal waters by leaving only footprints, respecting marine wildlife, and doing their part to keep our beaches clean for future generations.

Lately, we've seen a rise in conversations where frustration outweighs kindness.

We understand that travel plans, policies, weather, and unexpected changes can be stressful. But behind every phone call, email, and message is a real person.

Many of our employees are not only helping guests navigate challenges, they're also navigating challenges of their own. They're members of this community who care deeply about this place and the people who visit it. Being frustrated is understandable. Asking tough questions is okay. But speaking to others with patience and respect will always go further than anger, bullying, or belittling.

The truth is simple: kindness costs nothing, but it means everything.

While we've faced challenges, we're also looking ahead with hope. Beach nourishment is on the way, bringing with it the promise of a wide, beautiful beach for everyone to enjoy once again. We are excited for the future of our shoreline and our community.

To the countless guests who have shown understanding, grace, and compassion, thank you. Your kindness never goes unnoticed, and it reminds us why we love what we do.

We're all human. Let's remember that when we speak to one another. 💙

A bittersweet day at Lighthouse View 💙

We spent the weekend cleaning out and preparing for some very big changes happening today. This place holds so many memories, and while change is never easy, we are looking ahead to what’s next with hopeful hearts.

🚧✨ BIG improvements are happening at Lighthouse View Oceanfront Lodging & we could not be more excited! 🌊🏖️

One of the biggest upgrades we’ve recently completed is the installation of our BRAND NEW walkways! 🙌

These new walkways were specially designed with slats to help prevent flooding, shifting, and washouts from the sand and surf 🌊💪 That means better durability, safer access, and an even better experience for our guests enjoying their vacation!

We’re continuing to make exciting improvements all around the property to keep Lighthouse View beautiful, comfortable, and ready for your next Outer Banks getaway ☀️🐚
