The right home is worth waiting for, and this one proved it! 🏡
I’ve known the Jensen family for a while, so when Zach reached out about buying his first home, it meant a little extra to be part of it. He had a clear vision: within 30 minutes of Grand Rapids, some acreage, an outbuilding, and all under $300k…
We started last May, got him pre-approved, and hit the ground running with showings. We covered a lot of ground and at one point even went under contract, but ultimately made the call to walk away. Not an easy decision, but the right one.
Even while I was traveling abroad, I made sure he was taken care of with support from another agent in my office, so the search didn’t lose momentum. When I got back, we kept going, took a short reset, and then came back into the market this spring with a stronger plan.
I had him get re-pre-approved and connect with a few lenders so we could position him as competitively as possible. From there, it was a lot of showings, really dialing in what worked and what didn’t until we found the one.
We walked through it multiple times, talked through strategy, and when the right moment came, we made a strong move. We negotiated seller concessions to cover his closing costs, bought down his rate, and got it under asking.
Inspections sent us down a bit of a rabbit hole with additional quotes, tests, and follow-ups. But nothing major enough to walk away from, and it ultimately gave us a much better understanding of the home moving forward.
And to top it off, we closed early—last Friday 🙌
I’m so grateful I got to be part of this journey with Zach. Huge thank you to the Jensen family for trusting me with it and congratulations—I can’t wait to see how he makes it his own!
(I may have also already been recruited for paint colors and picture-taking duties already… part of the job, right?)
