Wake up slowly. Take your coffee outside. Find a quiet spot and stay awhile. Wander down to the pond. Walk the trails. Read for a while. Settle in around the fire table when the evening turns cool.

Or head out and explore the Ouachitas, then come back to 74 quiet acres at the end of the day.

That’s the thing about Peace Valley. You can fill your days — or leave them wonderfully empty.

Apparently, everyone gets a little more colorful around here in the fall. 🦚🍂

Around here, treasure hunting involves getting a little dirt under your fingernails. ✨

The Mount Ida area is famous for quartz, and crystal digging makes a pretty great day trip when you’re staying at Peace Valley.

Spend the morning seeing what you can uncover, grab lunch while you’re out, then come back to the valley for the part of the day that requires absolutely no itinerary.

Quiet porch.
A walk around the property.
Maybe nothing at all.

That works too.

There’s more to a stay at Peace Valley than what you’ll find on our 74 acres. 🌿

Just down the road in Glenwood, the Caddo River Festival returns September 4–5 with live music, a 5K & Fun Run, a car show, food, vendors and plenty of small-town Arkansas fun.

It’s one of those weekends that makes this corner of Arkansas so special: spend the day exploring, then come back to Peace Valley for the quiet.

Some places don’t show up on the tourist maps.

About a mile from Peace Valley, tucked into the woods, is a little swimming hole locals simply call “The Jacuzzi.”

Cold, clear water. A small cascade tumbling over the rocks. And the kind of place you probably wouldn’t know existed unless someone who lives here showed you the way.

It’s one of the things we love most about this corner of Arkansas — there’s always something beautiful hiding just beyond the obvious.

It doesn’t look like this quite yet.

But it will. 🍂

Soon the greens around Peace Valley will give way to amber, rust and gold. Mornings will get cooler. Evenings will call for an extra layer. And 74 acres of woods will start putting on their annual show.

Fall in the Ouachitas has a way of making you want to stay outside just a little longer.
