We’re proud to celebrate the completion of NewMark Merrill’s six-month AI Pioneer Program!

In partnership with Adaptig, 13 team members from nine departments created 53 practical AI solutions to improve everyday work across our company. Together, these tools are expected to save 3,783 hours each year—giving our teams more time to focus on meaningful, high-value work.

• Jollypalooza celebrations at Norwalk Town Square and Anaheim Town Square

In honor of Black Business Month, we're spotlighting Chef John Meyer, owner of BJ's Market & Bakery at Stony Island Plaza.

After graduating from culinary school, Chef Meyer faced challenges finding his first opportunity in the restaurant industry. Instead of giving up, he continued pursuing his dream and eventually created BJ's Market & Bakery, a neighborhood destination known for bringing people together over Southern comfort food.

For nearly 30 years, Chef Meyer has been serving more than meals. He's created jobs, mentored employees, and built a welcoming space where family, friends, and neighbors can gather.

Consumers are still spending—but they're becoming more selective about where they spend their money.

Rising inflation and higher living costs are prompting shoppers to prioritize experiences they value and retailers that offer strong value for their dollars, while pulling back on less essential purchases.

That doesn't mean spending has come to a halt. In fact, theaters, music venues, and attractions posted the strongest year-over-year foot traffic growth and the longest dwell times.

Meanwhile, categories like furniture, home improvement, and restaurants saw relatively modest or declining traffic, reflecting a more cautious consumer navigating ongoing economic pressures.
