Yesterday, under the good luck Yankees jersey at our lawyer’s office, we signed all the papers necessary to sell the house ⚾️💙

Today we cut the grass, swept the floors, and left the keys (and a bottle of wine!) for the new owners. 🍾

Tomorrow they will do one final walk through and Friday we will finally close on 10 High Mountain Road🤞🏼

Adventures in house flipping... the saga continues.

Good news: we close in TWO weeks 🙂

Bad news: found another old septic tank that we didn’t know existed and was therefore never decommissioned🙄

Also, the brand new shower door that has never been used or touched, shattered into a billion pieces🤯

More good news: it’s all been taken care of and close date is still July 31🥳

Real talk... because we promised to share the ups AND the downs... Maxwell is not impressed...

When we first decided to flip a house, we made a promise to each other that if things didn’t go well, we’d sell everything we own, and move into a van to travel South American for a year.
..we seem to be one step closer to living in a van!

The buyers for 10 High Mountain Road, pulled out of the deal. 😳

Everyone keeps telling us that this is all part of the real estate game... and we knew this could happen. It doesn’t make it any easier of a pill to swallow though.

If anyone wants a house, the pretty girl is back on the market.

We’ve received & accepted an offer on 10 High Mountain Road.

Next up: attorney review & inspections!👨🏽‍⚖️📑

If all goes well, we will close on June 14, EXACTLY 8 months after buying the house.🏡

To our friends & family that have supported us, followed the journey online & have encouraged us to persue this crazy dream... thank you.❤️
..and to our realtor, Anne, who helped us buy and sell our first flip: thank you for keeping us calm, explaining things we didn’t understand, and for being such a loyal & honest friend.

🏠 The open house went well. Our realtor said there was an “above average” turn out (sweet!) and she’s already gotten a few calls for some private showings.

Thanks to everyone who called, texted and sent Facebook messages wishing us good luck. This has been, by far, the most challenging and at times stressful things we’ve done, but it feels pretty damn good to have completed it (almost!)
