Behind the Sign: Happy Anniversary to the best (Realtor) husband!

It takes a lot of patience, flexibility and sacrifice to be married to a Realtor.

The long hours. The changing schedules. The "one quick detour" that somehow turns into an hour later . The text that says, "Don't wait on me for dinner." 😅

Through it all, he handles it with grace, patience, and a sense of humor.
Most people don't realize that when you marry a Realtor, you also become Mr. Realtor - the job he got without ever filling out an application.

He's the one helping put out signs, fixing signs, making sure the trailer and ATV are fueled up and ready to go, and taking care of countless other things behind the scenes that make this business possible.
This business may have my name on the sign, but I couldn't do it without him.

The funny thing is, he doesn't even have social media, so he'll probably never see this. But that's okay, I can still let the world know how grateful I am for him and how blessed I am to call him mine.

“In an industry that’s constantly evolving, staying educated isn’t optional - it’s part of serving people well.”

This morning, several of our agents and I attended the Texas: New Laws & Contract Updates class to continue sharpening our knowledge and staying ahead of important changes impacting real estate across Texas.

With new legislation, TREC updates, TAR contract revisions, and Senate Bill 1968 introducing stricter compliance standards, the way we do business continues to evolve and that makes ongoing education more important than ever.

One thing I’ll always believe is that leadership means being willing to keep learning.

Not just for ourselves, but so we can better guide, protect, and advocate for the clients and communities we serve.

I’m grateful to be surrounded by agents who value growth, professionalism, and excellence in their work. The best teams are built with people who never stop learning.

One of the things I value most in this business is building a culture where growth, collaboration, and excellence are never optional.

At our May sales meeting, we had the opportunity to hear from Burleson County Title over croissants and conversation as they walked our agents through title commitments, how to better understand and read them, and ways to proactively help avoid last-minute issues before closing.

The real estate industry is constantly evolving, and continuing education matters. The more knowledge we have behind the scenes, the better we can serve, protect, and advocate for our clients throughout the process.
