Join me to practice for four consecutive Sundays in August featuring heart coherence, and the vagus nerve.

The breathwork, postures, meditations, and yogic sleep exercises that I have chosen for this series, all focus on toning up the vagus nerve. The yogis called the vagus nerve the “central tuning string” of the body.

All four classes will be full somatic experiences, and I will weave in concepts, including poly vagal theory, neuroception, self-regulation, and the hierarchy of the nervous system into the teachings.

We will also dip into the three major areas of the autonomic nervous system, so you will begin to learn where you are at any given time, and how to regulate back to a healthy state.

The teachings are based on Stephen Porges is poly vagal theory.

Archaic Wonderland
San Martin de Ordovés, Church of Saint Martin built in the 11th century.

I was not able to get inside the church to see the Gothic wall painting depicting the seven deadly sins. Tomorrow’s another day though right?

This experience has been a pilgrimage for my heart and soul.

Happy Easter, happy Passover, happy spring.

I’m enjoying these naturalized Micro daffodils. I’ve never seen anything like this in the states and they’re growing wild around the pre-Pyrenees in the fields fields.

Walking in Aineto, Spain with Miss Portia.
I have come to appreciate the beautiful landscape of the pre-Pyrenees. It is unspoiled and undeveloped. It’s such a privilege to spend time here.

There is no better de-stressor then to walk in nature.

Dolmen de Ibrique

Tracking to a prehistoric neolithic Monument is like entering a portal of time, especially on the spring equinox. Even a relatively small Dolman like this makes you realize how incredible the ancient technology must have been to lift these enormous stones.

In the valley of Noceto stands the dolmen of IIbirque, despite looking at pictures, standing next to one it’s a monumental experience. It stands high on a mountain surrounded by wilderness. What did these ancient ones actually use it for? A burial site as many believe, or something else.

Not to mention the Casa de Brujas Is a short walk away. The house of witches—Must be some interesting stories to be told there but I have not found them as of yet.

Rothko Sunset

While sitting in my living room listening to A YouTube video I looked up and saw a subtle and yet amazing sunset. It reminded me of when I visited San Francisco and saw my first Rothko painting.

I was captivated by the Simple/Complex nature of the painting. I have seen so many sunsets on Camano Island that reminded me of the juxtaposition of the grays and color, the light and the dark of the image.

Walking down to the top of the bluff, as I often do, I share this as part of my pilgrimage of the heart🧡

I pray for peace and safety for the people of Ukraine. I was first introduced to this beautiful culture through the traditional art of Ukrainian Easter egg making- Pysanky.

I took an evening class at a local school and learned how to layer of the wax and dyes To form ancient symbols.

Although this is not my egg, I offer it as my prayer for the people of the Ukraine.

A Valentine’s Day (eve) kiss from the Divine. Have you ever felt that you’ve brushed up against something Ineffable?

That happened to me this evening as I was watching a Rory Duff YouTube on the divine and sacred places, this image of pink/rose glow jolted me.

Tonight’s sunset lasted maybe 30 minutes, but in that time I brushed up against the Divine. My beautiful land has been nicknamed “Heaven” but tonight the name rang true More than ever. After 30+ years of being a caretaker of this property I’m still in awe!
