One cool thing about real estate is learning history about our area. Like that the Flander sister’s, whose father was influential early settler and ship captain George H. Flanders, donated the land that is now Ecola State Park! What a legacy!

Caroline W. and M. Louise Flanders, who built the 1926 Portland Heights house, are best known for donating beachfront acres to the state to create Ecola State Park north of Cannon Beach.
