1.What low-VOC or non-toxic materials do you use for paint, flooring, cabinets, adhesives, and sealants?

2. Can you provide product certifications or documentation
showing the materials meet third-party health standards?

3. How do you test or verify the home’s indoor air quality before the homeowner moves in?

A builder telling you their work is “high quality” means nothing without accountability.

Third-party verification matters because it gives the homeowner proof that someone outside the builder is checking the work, testing the systems, and making sure the home is actually performing the way it was promised.

Because the truth is, once the walls are closed up, most buyers have no idea what was done right, what was missed, or what shortcuts were taken.

A good builder should welcome outside verification.
If they avoid it, downplay it, or tell you it’s not necessary - that’s a red flag.

Don’t just take the builder’s word for it.
Verify it.

And if they won’t allow accountability, you should probably run.
