Digging in at our groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an important new community: the Westminster Senior Residences.

This milestone marks the start of a significant development that will provide 50 affordable apartment homes for older adults, with occupancy to commence next summer. We're very excited to see this becoming a reality!

Congratulations to Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc., which. has received $12.9 million for the preservation of affordability and refinancing of Bixby Brockton Apartments, a 106-unit fully affordable and age-restricted community in Brockton, Mass.

Affordable housing is one of the state's most urgent issues. We wholeheartedly support Governor Maura Healey’s $5.2 billion housing bill. This bold action will have a big positive impact on the housing crisis affecting the lives of people throughout our state.

The bill, the Legislature’s first major housing bill in three years, marks a victory for some advocates, particularly zoning reform proponents and affordable housing supporters. But it left others disappointed.

ICYMI, we were proud to welcome Governor Maura Healy for a tour of the Yarmouth Gardens and help raise awareness of the Affordable Homes Act, a $4B package to create, preserve, and modernize nearly 70,000 homes.

The need for affordable housing on Cape Cod is growing as families of teachers, nurses, firefighters and other essential community members are priced out of the local housing market.

We're grateful for the governor's leadership on this critical issue.

Last week, we welcomed Gov. Maura Healy and other state and local officials at Yarmouth Gardens on their statewide tour to highlight the Affordable Homes Act, a $4 billion plan to help build more homes and make housing cheaper across Massachusetts.

""Our administration is making Massachusetts more affordable from the Cape to the Berkshires, and we're proud to be in Yarmouth today to spread the word about the savings we're delivering,"" said Governor Healy.

The Yarmouth Gardens development will offer 40 affordable rental units. All apartments will be restricted to families earning less than 60% of the area median income, with 12 of the units exclusively for extremely low-income families.

Pleased to share that we're one of 170 organizations supporting the Zero Carbon Renovation Fund Coalition.

The ZCRF is a bold proposal to allocate $300 million from the state legislature to jumpstart the market for zero carbon renovations in existing buildings in Massachusetts.

The ZCRF will prioritize the most vulnerable populations via affordable housing, public housing, low- and moderate-income homes, schools, BIPOC and women businesses, and buildings located in Environmental Justice communities.

Deep decarbonization enabled by the ZCRF will reduce emissions, enhance climate resiliency, and improve the overall health for communities most in need.

You may have heard that Cape Cod is experiencing extraordinary stress on the supply of affordable housing for year-round working families.

Our development in Harwich, Massachusetts for Pine Oaks Village Homes will add over 250 units and help the Town meet its housing goal.

Pine Oaks Village Homes IV will provide 250 units of mixed income housing rentals consisting of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses in a convenient location in Harwich, MA.

Situated with easy accessto Route 6, the site is close to walking trails and open space and will include a central green area and playground for families to enjoy.

Gratifying to see this action at the state level to address our affordable housing crisis. The governor's plan will create as many as 300 new units per year – one important step in a multi-pronged effort to produce much-needed mixed income housing.

The HousingWorks program will spur the production of 200 to 300 new units of affordable housing each year, according to Governor Maura Healey’s office.
