Richard Currier brings more than 34 years of real estate experience to Team Currier. A former teacher at both Belmont Day School and the American School in St. During his teaching years he purchased two triple deckers (three family homes) and spent weekends, holidays and vacations renovating. Returning from France in July of 1977 he formed Currier Associates. In 1980 he left on his own and opened Currier Associates in Huron Village. Barbara joined the firm in 1980 and in 1982 became an equal managing partner. In June of 1982 Richard and Barbara were married and took on a huge renovation project in the form of a large, very run down two-family home on Lexington Avenue in Cambridge. With his keen interest in teaching and education, Richard especially enjoys working with people who appreciate the guiding advice of someone who can help alleviate the stress of buying or selling a home. Richard partners with Barbara and the other members of the team to educate clients on the finer points of buying and selling property. In his free time he enjoys spending time with Barbara, four grown children and five grandchildren as well as walking around Fresh Pond with his Border Terrier, Chester. David Balsom spent the first part of his career working on projects from Broadway to public radio and came to understand why and for whom a product (whether it's a show or a home) is appealing and how to communicate that with both buyers and sellers. His experience bringing audiences and arts experiences together has enabled him to recognize what motivates both buyers and sellers and how to help make sure both have the best outcome possible. David has lived in the Boston area since 1980, spending over a decade in Cambridge where he served on our condominium association board as well as on the board of a small non-profit arts presenter. He moved his family to Lexington where he was a member of the town's Communications Advisory Committee for several years. His children are now grown and on their own, and David and his wife now reside in Concord with their two dogs.
