The Pine Tree Road Fire in Union County is currently estimated at approximately 2,000 acres as crews continue working to contain the fire, which has been burning since last night.

Ten bulldozers are currently working the fire, and we are preparing replacement crews from other parts of the state. A detection flight over Southeast Arkansas is planned this morning. Air tankers are scheduled to begin aerial operations immediately.

Approximately 150 people have been evacuated to nearby shelters in Lawson and El Dorado. Entergy has also de-energized power lines in the area as crews work to improve containment. We will provide an updated containment estimate as soon as it is available.
