Good morning to you all,
As most of you know I plan on donating a puppy from each of my litters in Steven’s honor to an organization that helps support active duty service members and veterans with finding an emotional support dog. I have looked into a few and at this time I have been unsuccessful in locating one that is accepting German Shepherds. I haven’t given up on that search, just yet. Who knows it might be an organization I decide to help get started, from the ground up.
Until then I have decided that instead of donating a puppy to an organization to help active duty service members and veterans find emotional support animals. I am opening up my email to those active duty service members and veterans in need of an emotional support dog. I am asking those that are interested in participating to send in an email as to why they need the dog, basically tell me your story.
So, I am asking for your help and support to get the word out and tell those interested to email: and title the email EMOTIONAL SUPPORT DOG.
They can start sending their emails now. I will be accepting emails until October 19th, 2024 , or until I receive 50 emails, whichever one is reached first. Please make sure to include all your contact information in your email. I will update everyone through goatlockerk9s instagram and facebook social media posts and our website (links below). If your email is received after that I will hold it until the next litter, until I decide which direction I wish to proceed with this process. I will continue making updates as that part of this journey progresses.
I will be announcing my decision on Oct 21st, 2024 at 07:21am (last boat Steven Waughtel served on, Go Bulls) Once the vet clears the puppy. The puppy chosen by ME, will be available for pick up that coming weekend (October 25th). Arrangements for pick up or delivery will be discussed directly with the winner. DELIVERY FEES MAY APPLY DEPENDING ON LOCATION.
Please keep in mind when submitting your email that this is for a puppy 8 weeks or older and it will be your responsibility to train and support this puppy for its entire life. I will be here to assist with any questions or concerns you might have. Once you own a puppy from Goat Locker K9’s you become family for life! I will be asking for updates and photos of the puppy too! I want to watch your journey together unfold as you both achieve your goals!
