Black ice is one of the most dangerous winter conditions because it blends in and catches people off guard. We’re sharing three images below—can you tell which one shows black ice?

Knowing what to look for matters. Black ice often forms on shaded areas, bridges, sidewalks, and parking lots, especially after refreezing. If you think you spot it, avoid the area, walk slowly, and notify property management immediately so it can be treated.
