Due to the storm damage and downed branches throught Camp Nelson and the surrounding areas, the Tulare County Fire Department, TC Solid Waste and partner agencies will temporarily be providing bins and chippers as follows:
Saturday 3/21 there will be bins and chipping services in the Fire Department parking lot. Sunday 3/22 the chipping service will be available at the transfer station. After this weekend and for 4 weeks there will be bins available at the Fire Station for wood debris. The Springville transfer station will also be available for wood debris Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There will be extended hours at the Camp Nelson transfer station including Sundays and Mondays for the next 4 weeks. The County and partner agencies hope this will help alleviate some of the cleanup issues after the storm damages. Road crews will also continue cleanup within the County Right of Way. Please pass this information along as this is a short notification window due to resources made available.

"For home sellers hoping to “time” the market, April 12-18 may offer the best opportunity in 2026, according to a newly released report by realtor.com®. Based on an analysis of housing trends from 2018 to 2025, researchers identified this mid-April window as a “Goldilocks” moment—when prices, demand and competition align in sellers’ favor."

Sellers who list during this week could net about $26,000 more than at the start of the year, the report finds."

“After years of being squeezed by limited inventory and high rates, the 2026 housing market is starting to feel more approachable for those who have been sidelined,” says Danielle Hale, chief economist at realtor.com®. “For sellers, the mid-April window represents an opportunity to enter a market that feels more within reach for buyers while benefiting from a seasonal advantage in terms of pricing and competition.”
