Belly Bulge?

I often come across unusual discoveries while inspecting mobile home crawl spaces, but this was particularly alarming. The master suite's tub had been improperly installed, causing water to leak into the floor cavity and v***r barrier. The barrier was stretched to its limits and could have led to severe floor rot and structural damage if left unchecked. Immediate repairs are necessary to prevent mold growth and protect the home's integrity.

What’s behind the paint?
Very often, during a home/termite inspection, I find wood components and trim with an accumulation of paint from years of continued "preventative maintenance". These areas often have the appearance of paint over old dry wood. Sometimes however, it is not old dry wood. (The photos above show what looks to be weathered paint and old wood, as well as, termite pellets and extensive termite damage to a railing post behind the paint) These findings are never pleasant for the seller or the potential buyer, and yet, having an inspector who is experienced and trained to identify these types of issues can help eliminate unexpected surprises for all parties involved.
