Rocketurbiz RocketUrBiz™ lead-to-close software automates more than marketing. Soon, we will launch our first software product for residential real estate agents.

Our CEO and Founder is a Realtor who became frustrated with the numerous software products she needed to master to get her job done and the lack of technological advancement. Five years ago, RocketUrBiz founder, Debra Schwartz partnered with Tavi Truman, an award-winning software engineer to build a new breed of software and a software platform to help real estate professionals run their business

from lead to close. Beta testing begins in the 2nd quarter of 2022, followed by sales later in the year. It is our sincere wish to bring easy-to-use, easy-to-learn software that helps agents build great businesses while giving them more time to do what they love! We plan to build a robust software ecosystem for agents, agent teams, brokerages, and third-party providers with capabilities typically found only in corporate enterprises. Using AI-Powered business process automation we’ll give tens of thousands of real estate professionals the leverage they need to stay at the forefront of the technology revolution. Our ultimate goal is to become the preferred industry provider and profitable enterprise that will withstand the test of time.

⛵️When the Boat’s Taking on Water, Don’t Just Bail—Change Course. ⛵️

Have you ever been advised, "Don’t make waves," 🌊 - even when you knew it was the right thing to do?

Early in my career at World Savings and Loan, I dedicated myself wholeheartedly—not just to achieve recognition, but for the deep satisfaction that comes from knowing I’d given my absolute best. When I finally reached top-performer status, an accounting error was made by headquarters, and my hard-earned achievement was mistakenly awarded to someone else.

🚩 When I brought this oversight to my boss—someone I genuinely respected—he advised caution: escalating this could damage my career. He understood corporate politics and was trying to protect me. Still, I felt deeply frustrated and even angry. It wasn’t just about a missed reward; it was about fairness, integrity, and respect for employees who consistently deliver.

🧭 After some consideration, I decided to escalate the matter directly to the CEO. It wasn't an easy decision. I knew I was risking my standing at the company, yet I hoped logic, fairness, and clear validation of my accomplishments would prevail. Frankly, if standing up for what's right meant risking my future there, perhaps it wasn't the right place for me after all.

⚓Ultimately, the CEO agreed. The company honored my achievement. Yet, the greatest reward wasn't the acknowledgment itself—it was the clarity I gained about my own values and the importance of aligning myself with people and organizations that share them.

🌅Not long afterward, this clarity propelled me to leave the corporate world entirely and become a self-employed Realtor. This decision shocked colleagues who prized tenure and security above all. But I knew staying true to myself meant prioritizing fairness, vision, and the courage to pursue something greater.

Whether within a corporation or in your own business, shared values, vision, and integrity aren't just important—they’re essential. Sometimes, rocking the boat isn't an act of defiance but rather an affirmation of who you are and what you stand for.

Have you ever taken a stand based on your core values, even when it was risky? Please share 👇

🏃‍♀️ From Impossible to 26.2 Miles

Have you ever tackled a goal so big that it felt almost impossible?

In my 40s, I decided to prepare for a hiking trip through Provence, France—despite being completely out of shape. Seeking a way to train, I joined Team in Training, an organization raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was also deeply personal; my neighbor’s 16-year-old daughter was courageously fighting Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, adding far more meaning than my original reasoning.

Soon, I discovered I’d unknowingly committed to running a full marathon—26.2 miles! My longest previous effort? Barely a 3-mile walk. I was intimidated, unsure, but determined that even attempting this would make me stronger.

When I mentioned my marathon goal on a date, his immediate response was disbelief: “You can’t run a marathon—you don’t even run.” Before I could respond, another man overhearing our conversation came over, encouraged me enthusiastically, and started discussing training strategies. By the end of the conversation, my date had left—but I had gained a new supporter and friend.

Training was tough, but it taught me profound lessons about consistency, community, and self-belief. Week after week, I trained alongside others, forming friendships rooted in mutual encouragement, vulnerability, and laughter—even through the aches and challenges. Those bonds remain strong today.

Ultimately, I didn’t just finish one marathon—I went on to complete 20. More importantly, I learned something invaluable: Small steps taken consistently over time can lead you to places you've never imagined.

While marathon running no longer fits into my schedule, the discipline, teamwork, and adaptability I developed during training continue to guide me professionally and personally. For anyone in real estate sales, investing, and entrepreneurship, the lesson translates powerfully:

Move consistently toward your goals every day, remain coachable, and adapt continuously—even when conditions aren’t ideal.

🚀Beyond Your Lane: Why "Staying in Your Lane" Limits Your Potential 🚀

We’ve all heard the advice: "Stay in your lane." It’s safe, predictable, and comfortably familiar. But is safety really what drives success?

📚When I was a college student, juggling retail work with odd hours, a surprising opportunity knocked. My former high school teacher, now a real estate professional, invited me to join him as an assistant. I hesitated—I didn’t know the first thing about real estate, and I certainly couldn’t type! But his response changed my life: "No typing needed. I’ll teach you everything."

🌟 He was the first to show me that my lane wasn't fixed—it could change, expand, or even disappear entirely. Stepping out of that initial "safe" lane not only changed my career trajectory but taught me a powerful lesson: growth lies just beyond our comfort zones.

🧭 As real estate professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs, we face this choice daily. Should we stick to what's familiar and predictable, or dare to explore paths less traveled? The truth is that real innovation and success seldom happen inside the lines others draw for us.

Be on the lookout as I share more experiences and insights about the power—and necessity—of leaving your lane behind. Because your true potential isn't waiting within the boundaries others have set for you; it’s found by boldly stepping beyond them.

Expect More from Your Marketing Automation: As I Learned from My Robot Vacuum 🤖🏡

Last week, I bought a robotic vacuum. I hoped it'd be a 'set and forget' solution. Initially, my budget-friendly model took a few rounds to familiarize itself with my house, needing some oversight. Now it seems to be forgetting that my home extends beyond the living room. So much for the budget-friendly model! But here’s the thing I discovered - pricier models adjust to relocated furniture, and can also mop and empty themselves into a trash bin all while offering a truly hands-off experience.

If the software you are using leaves a lot to be desired, it’s likely because they built it in a way that wasn’t sufficient to allow for continuous innovation. Not only that but the less they charge, the harder it will be to continue modernizing. Don’t you deserve better when it comes to automation in your work tools?

When you hear "automated email campaigns" in real estate, it's often more DIY than you’d imagine – 9 manual steps, to be exact. But what if, just like a top-tier vacuum robot, marketing automation could genuinely be... automatic?

Curious about how this is possible? Dive deeper into the world of genuine automation in my latest blog. See comments for the link.

🚨 **Beware the Buzzwords: Will the Real AI Please Stand Up?** 🚨
In a tech world full of glossy marketing, how do you sift the genuine from the gimmicky? 🤔

Warning ⚠️**: Not all that glitters is gold! 'Not every tool boasting "AI capabilities" truly delivers on the promise.

Generative AI**: Fantastic at drafting content and recognizing patterns, but did you know it doesn't genuinely understand? It mimics language but lacks human-like reasoning. 🧠

Real AI Power**: It’s not just about one type of AI. Truly transformative solutions combine various AI types, achieving a system that can both automate and understand the context of its action. It's the future, and the future is nearly here at RocketUrBiz! 🚀

Just Because You're Talking, Doesn't Mean You're Communicating

📣 **Learning to speak your client’s language** 📣

Hey Real Estate Agents! When was the last time you asked how your client wanted to communicate? 🤔 Now, do you have the systems in place to make this easy for you to accomplish?

Start with a Few Key Questions:
- "How do you prefer to be updated: call, text, email, or in-person?"
- "Is there a specific platform or time that's best for you?"
- "Do you have any communication preferences or platforms you avoid?"

When to Ask: Early on in the initial meetings. Remember, it's about their comfort!

Email & Text Aren’t Always Ideal: Understand the nuances! Important discussions deserve more than just typed words. Tone, body language, and the ability to clarify in real-time matter.

🚫 **BONUS**: Beware of leads asking for communications on platforms like WhatsApp. It might be legit, but always verify the authenticity to avoid potential fake leads!

🚀 **The Golden Rule of Real Estate Follow-ups** 🚀

Let's get real about marketing! Do you ever send client promos to your fellow agents because they happen to be in your database? Or have you sent listings to people who aren’t thinking of buying or selling a home? That's called broadcasting (AKA throwing spaghetti against the wall).

When marketing, keep in mind:
1. Segmentation Matters: Your downtown loft dwellers and your suburban retirees deserve different communication.

2. Behavioral Analytics ≠ Clients for Life: Reconnecting when someone views more listings shows you are chasing a deal, not creating a lifelong client.

3. Personalization Over Broadcasting: Think about online shopping where products are suggested based on our unique behaviors. How can you offer such tailored experiences both during a transaction and as you nurture your database?

4. Automation can be Impersonal: Use it to streamline and customize, not generalize.

The future of real estate demands more than just consistent follow-ups. It's about making each client feel they're your ONLY client. Discover how a dash of AI and genuine understanding can redefine your follow-ups. Please check my comment for the blog link.

🔍 **Why Client Info is a Goldmine in Real Estate** 🔍

Real estate pros, when was the last time you took a deep dive into your CRM? It's not just about storing contacts—it's about truly knowing your clients and their aspirations, and then showing you care about them even when they are not transacting.

Here’s a handy acronym to keep in mind during your outreach.

Remember F.O.R.D.:
🔹 **F**amily - Do you know your client's family dynamics? How old are their kids? Do they have aging parents living with them?
🔹 **O**ccupation - Are they freelancers or 9-5 employees? What type of work do they do?
🔹 **R**ecreation - What do they love doing in their free time?
🔹 **D**reams - What's their dream home or neighborhood?

What kind of future do they envision for themselves?
The more you know, the better you can serve! Just as your dentist needs a full history before drilling, you need a comprehensive view of your clients to be their trusted advocate.

In an age where data privacy is paramount and trust is fragile, how are you keeping your database secure and meaningful? Dive into our latest article on the importance of client data in a CRM. Please check my comment for the blog link.
