Unpopular opinion: not everyone wants to be a top producer and that’s okay. Don’t get me wrong. I know I am the best agent and I wish everyone knew that and called me- but the reality is this- a lot of those top producers aren’t really doing that much more deals than me. They just have a lot of agents under them , that they manage, and in turn those agents record their sales under the one person making it seem like there is one person doing all the work, but it’s really a lot of agents on one team. Some agents prop the team up and some use it to prop their name only as the #1 agent and so on…. No hate, but it’s just a lot of consumers don’t know that.
For me, my tagline has always been : YOUR HOME, MY PRIORITY. And I truly don’t just say that. I mean and it and take it on with every ounce of my being. MY priority. Not an agent on my team that I hope I can trust. ME.
From the initial listing appointment, to the staging, to the pictures, the open houses, the inspections, the tours, the celebrations, the gifts I personally pick out. I know some of those things would slip if I continued to add to my business.
Not everyone cares the way YOU do. It’s important for me to be there for my clients. It’s important to have the systems in place to handle the work I have. And right now, I am also raising 5 humans who also need my time.
For me, it makes sense to be there for my clients each, personally. To be there for my kids, each personally. To be there for my husband and my church and my friends. And so on.
One day, I may have a team of people I trust and expand my business more. Be able to take on more time for marketing, cold calls, trying to get people outside of my sphere of influence to use me and see the benefits of using me. But for right now, this is what works. My friends and family and people who have become my friends and family all refer almost every single transaction that I do. And I do a lot of business each year! I treat those referrals with the utmost care and honor by personally showing up for each client.
