In 2015 REALTOR® Jessica Thomas did a poverty immersion weekend to understand what it's like to be homeless. That life-changing experience inspired her to help. She hosts a sock drive each year to ensure shelters have clean, warm socks for people who need them. In 2022, with the help of Realty ONE Group offices around the world, she collected nearly 7,000 pairs of socks. All told, she has donated more than 20,000 pairs of new socks to serve the homeless community in Kansas City. "Socks are a simple need, so it's easy for others to contribute, but they are an essential need for shelters.”
