👉🏾Many wonder why they need a REALTOR® when they can just buy or sell property on their own. Here is what REALTORS® do and what they don't do and why it's in your best interest to have one. This is directly from the Texas REALTORS® website: https://www.texasrealestate.com/why-use-a-texas-realtor/
It explains what we do as REALTORS® and the difference between a REALTOR® and a Real Estate Agent. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE‼️
👩🏾💻REALTORS® are held to a higher standard and required to adhere to a Code of Ethics as well as the laws of the state and federal government. We spend a lot of time in classes in order to better represent the people who come to us for our expertise and if we don't know, we have a broker we can ask!
🗣What REALTORS® DON'T DO is MAKE DECISIONS FOR THEIR CLIENTS. Our job is to inform and sometimes advocate and always be the source of the source- in other words, we point our clients in the right direction to get the information they need to make the right decision for their family.
📍We work HARD and enjoy making people property owners! That being said, it is NOT our job to push anyone into a decision they aren't ready for or a transaction that would not benefit them in the long run.
⚠️As REALTORS®, we are independent contractors and we work for our clients, our clients don't work for us. Just like any other contractor hired for any other job. And just like any other contractor, we get paid when the work is done, which is usually a closing. If we don't close, we don't get paid. That's how it works but that is not what the focus of the agent you are working with should be and if it is, call me, I'll take better care of you! 👩🏾💼🏡🏗🏭🏢
