Hurricane Milton update…Good morning, opening shutters and waking up. During last night power was on and off. This morning we have power and all is good no damage. They have a curfew in some area until a crew gets out to evaluate the damage right now.
All bridges seem to be ok in our area. The pictures that were seeing on TV is there’s a lot of sand downtown Fort Myers Beach and downtown Fort Myers due to the surge. There was some flooding. Of course we’re not sure the extent of it yet. I will send pictures as we go.

🌀Hurricane Milton update… we did not have to evacuate… even though all gulf coast residents in SW FL are due to storm surge. We are all set at our home… Hurricane stutters in our lanai will be going down sometime today. We also picked up Rick’s Mom to stay with us. Today we are in Tropical storms with tornado warnings on and off as the storm gets closer. Land fall for the hurricane is around 2am Thursday morning… so next 2 days we are going to hunker down and pray for our Florida families. We have friends and family asking us where our home is located, so I attached a map. The map that shows the weather man pointing… see the dot on the map where his hand is. That is close to our home but we are not in the evacuation zone. The pink area is the direct hit in Tampa / sarasota area,. But because we are on the dirty side of the storm we may see more impact .

We are enjoying a vacation in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay island….Atlantic Ocean. When we left it was just a small possibility there would be a hurricane developing… well here we are in the Atlantic and the Ports are now closed due to the hurricane which is affecting all of Florida. Bonus for us we get another day at sea! But we pray for North Florida that is being affected by Hurricane Helene.
