Chef Majid let us in on a few trade secrets during our latest Culinary Showcase! Residents learned how to make delicious crab cakes from scratch while Chef Majid brought plenty of tips, tricks, and energy from the kitchen.

Of course, the best part of any cooking demonstration...getting to taste the finished product! These crab cakes were perfection - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and gone in no time!

Music, hors d'oeuvres, wine, a little pool, great company and a beautiful view of the sunset from the Sky Lounge to top it all off. Our Sunset Social had all the ingredients for a perfect evening. We're definitely due for another one soon!

The Gallery was transported back to the Roaring '20s for an afternoon of mystery and mischief.

Our residents came dressed to impress! From glamorous flappers and dapper gangsters to a cast of suspicious characters, everyone played their part as clues were uncovered, secrets revealed, and accusations started flying.

There was plenty of laughter, some very questionable alibis, and enough twists and turns to keep everyone guessing until the very end. And just when we thought we had everyone figured out...the culprit was revealed! It was the maid, played by Debbie!

Case closed! Debbie, you had us fooled!

A Wild Day of Learning & Exploring!

Our residents recently enjoyed a visit to the Peace River Wildlife Center, where they got an up-close look at some of Southwest Florida’s incredible native wildlife!

Along the way, residents learned about the Center’s work to rescue, rehabilitate and care for injured and orphaned wildlife, while discovering more about the animals that call our corner of Florida home. From feathered residents to fascinating wildlife facts, it was an afternoon filled with plenty to see, learn and talk about.

Another great Gallery adventure—and proof that you’re never too old to learn something new! 🌿

✂️ Creativity is taking shape at The Gallery!

Helen and Peggy are the first to finish their beautiful Kinusaiga projects, and we just had to show them off!
Kinusaiga is a Japanese-inspired art form sometimes called “no-sew patchwork.” Small pieces of fabric are carefully tucked into grooves in a foam board to create colorful, textured designs—no needle or thread required!

Helen and Peggy did a wonderful job bringing their designs to life, and now they’ve set the bar for the rest of the group!

We can’t wait to see the rest of the finished projects! ❤️

🎶 Music has a beautiful way of reaching the heart.

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming the LARC Songbirds to The Gallery for a truly special performance.

LARC describes the incredible individuals it serves as people with unique abilities rather than disabilities—and those unique abilities were certainly on display. Through their music, enthusiasm and joy, the Songbirds filled our restaurant with smiles, applause and even a few happy tears.

It was more than a concert. It was a beautiful reminder of the connection that happens when people come together, share their gifts and simply enjoy one another.

The visit was especially meaningful because the LARC Songbirds were the recipients of our July Purpose Project, with proceeds from our basket raffle benefiting the group. What a wonderful full-circle moment to welcome them back to The Gallery and once again witness firsthand the joy they bring to our community.
Thank you to the LARC Songbirds for sharing your voices—and your hearts—with us. You touched ours. 💙

Who knew Florida had so many stories hiding in plain sight?

Our residents had a fantastic time with Mixon Trammell - Peace River Valley History during his The Florida You Never Knew presentation! Mixon kept everyone entertained while sharing fascinating stories and lesser-known facts about the Sunshine State.

The presentation may be over, but the fun continues—residents have been reading and swapping the books they purchased and sharing what they’ve learned with one another!

Thank you, Mixon, for an engaging afternoon of Florida history, storytelling, and plenty of “I never knew that!” moments.

From under the sea to a taste of Amish country!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, learning about marine life, ocean conservation, and some of the incredible creatures that call Florida’s waters home.

After exploring the aquarium, they headed to Der Dutchman for a delicious Amish-style meal and a quick stop in the bakery. A perfect day of learning, good food, and great company!

Knowledge is power—and when it comes to protecting ourselves from scams and fraud, knowledge can make all the difference!

We are incredibly grateful to the Lee County Sheriff's Office for visiting and providing our residents with an informative presentation on scam and fraud awareness and prevention.

Residents learned about common warning signs, what to watch out for, and practical steps they can take to better protect themselves and their personal information.

A huge thank you to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office for taking the time to educate and empower our residents. Staying informed is one of the best ways to stay safe!
