Real estate is funny.

Sometimes a home sells in a day. Sometimes it takes 3, 4, 5, or 6 months. Sometimes everything lines up perfectly right away — and sometimes it takes patience, strategy, creativity, and a whole lot of work behind the scenes.

Sometimes we’re helping a seller clean and prepare the house while getting documents signed. Sometimes we’re moving furniture to make a room show better. Sometimes we’re taking photos in two different seasons because the property needs a fresh look. Sometimes we’re virtually staging a room so buyers can see the potential.

We schedule professional photos, video, drone footage, write and rewrite descriptions, market on social media, follow up with agents, gather feedback, adjust strategy, answer calls, handle paperwork, coordinate appointments, and keep pushing even when things take longer than expected.

And sometimes, after doing all of that, it simply comes down to timing — the right buyer seeing the right home at the right moment.

That’s the part people don’t always see.

A home taking time to sell does not mean no one is working for it. Quite often, there is an enormous amount of effort happening behind the scenes.

Most Realtors truly love what we do. We love helping people move on to their next chapter, solving problems along the way, and doing everything we can to get our clients to the finish line.

Some closings come quickly. Some take persistence.

But the effort is there every single day. 🏡❤️

There’s a moment in real estate that no one really sees on TV—the one where things don’t go as planned, and you have to roll up your sleeves and figure it out.

This week, that moment showed up at the closing table.

My buyers were so excited to finally get the keys to their new home… but when we walked in, it wasn’t quite what we expected. The sellers had left behind everything—furniture, shelves, food, and enough garbage to fill a dumpster. It could have completely overshadowed what should have been a joyful day.

But instead of letting it become a deal-breaker, we got to work.

After some back-and-forth right there at the table, we were able to negotiate a monetary agreement that made things right for my buyers. Problem solved on paper—but we still had a house full of stuff to deal with.

That’s when the real magic happened.

I reached out to an incredible new small business, Ace Hauling, and without hesitation, they stepped up. A brand-new company, hungry to help, ready to show what they can do—and they delivered. They’re now taking care of clearing it all out so my buyers can truly start fresh in their new home.

Moments like this are such a reminder that real estate is never a solo job.

Behind every successful transaction is a network of hardworking people—small business owners, contractors, plumbers, electricians, cleaners—people who show up when it matters most. We couldn’t do what we do without them, and honestly, we wouldn’t want to.
