The National Association of Realtors® just dropped a big prediction: 2026 is expected to be the year the U.S. housing market finally turns the corner. They’re calling for double-digit increases in home sales and a 4% jump in prices—with almost ZERO RISK of a nationwide price drop!

I had a very rare few minutes to kill this evening and decided to stop by the newest addition to downtown Carlisle — Carlisle Bakehouse Café & Bakery

The second the door opened, that warm, rich bakery smell hit me…the kind that instantly lets you know you made the right decision😂. The inside has that clean, classic bakery look that just feels right… and the desserts? Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere in Central PA. Every display was picture-perfect, and the taste backed it up.

It’s always something special when talented people choose Carlisle as their “home base,” and I’m so grateful they did. A huge thank you to the owners for believing in this town and adding another great spot to our community. (And also for the great service and smiling faces)

If you haven’t stopped in yet — go treat yourself. You’ll walk out smiling (and probably with a box or two that you didn’t plan on buying). 🍰☕

Carlisle’s got a lot of history packed into small corners — and George’s Subs & Pizza is one of those spots that holds generations of memories.

When Rogue Duck Hospitality took it over, a lot of people were worried they’d erase what made George’s special. But they didn’t. They listened. They respected the tradition, kept the heart of the place intact, and even preserved the old photos and letters that tell the story of this town and the people who’ve loved this spot since the 1950s.

Change doesn’t always have to mean losing your roots — and this is proof.

Huge thanks to the team at Rogue Duck for hearing Carlisle loud and clear, and for making sure George’s still feels like George’s.
