On a $300,000 / 30-year mortgage:

💰 6.5% ≈ $1,896/month
💰 7.0% ≈ $1,996/month

Just $100/month more…

😳 But over 30 years, that ½% can mean roughly $36,000 MORE in interest.

🔄 NOW FLIP THAT $100.

Take that same $300,000 mortgage at 7% and put an extra $100 toward principal every month:

👉 About 4 YEARS off your mortgage
👉 Roughly $69,000 saved in interest

Same $100. Very different direction.
