A big congratulations to my friend, Richard Dunaway, who promoted to the highest enlisted rank (Master Chief Petty Officer) in the Navy today. Over 20 years ago, I met him as a junior officer of my first helicopter detachment in the Navy with . Richard gave me the honor to conduct his first reenlistment into the Navy many years ago onboard the USS Missouri (BB-63) and he has allowed me to do every single reenlistment for him since then. His friendship has been one of the highlights of my naval career. It was awe-inspiring today to see him promote and I’m extremely proud. Great job Master Chief! Thank you for all your hard work and what you do for this country.

I was fortunate to spend the weekend camping in Joshua Tree National Park with my girls. Many are enthralled by the amazing Joshua Trees, but I was just as amazed to see the other desert plants in bloom. I found these gorgeous flowers everywhere spread along the desert floor. With a little toughness, encouragement and opportunity, good things can happen even in the harshest of conditions. Thank you Mother Nature for the reminder.

Interesting discussion on how real estate is evolving to the current COVID-19 pandemic in LA and SoCal. Without seeing a property in person, are there other metrics/reports/insight that real estate professionals can give to their clients to make informed decisions? While the market may be slowing in the short term, I don't see the long-term demand for SoCal real estate changing.
