John La Mattery is a real estate veteran with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in the early 2000s, working as both a Real Estate agent and Mortgage lender in his family’s company, JL Moneyline. In 2011, he joined San Diego Real Estate and Investments to lead their Buyer Agent team and helped them achieve the coveted #1 Real Estate Team designation by the Wall Street

Journal for the highest volume and most homes sold in the City of San Diego for 2013. John comes from a long lineage of real estate developers. Rippey Sr., was a prominent figure in the early development of Los Angeles and Palm Springs. After an accomplished legal career that included serving as a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, Thresher Rippey relocated to California in the 1920s, where he became a real estate developer and financier, playing a key role in shaping parts of Los Angeles and pioneering the early growth of Palm Springs. In 2018, John formed the La Mattery and Lecuna Team with Daniel Lecuna, with a focus on exceptional client service and cutting-edge technology to streamline the home buying and selling process. John’s goal is to build stronger and healthier communities through happier homes. Outside of real estate, John enjoys playing guitar, off-roading, and traveling with his wife, Dita La Mattery, as they explore new places and cultures. He spent several years living in Japan, immersing himself in the local culture, and still retains much of the Japanese language. He has been recognized as a top producer in the industry and received the San Diego County Real Estate Achievement and Leadership Award in 2022 and 2023, and was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by San Diego County in 2024.
