DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE CAPITAL GAINS EXCLUSION INCREASE? Write or phone your congressman -- nothing fancy required, just let them know you want them to support it.

Under the bill, an individual may exclude from gross income gain from the sale of a principal residence of up to $500,000 (currently $250,000), and taxpayers who are married and file a joint federal income tax return may exclude up to $1 million (currently $500.000). The bill also requires these amounts to be adjusted annually for inflation.

YES! There really are effective programs solving homelessness, and this is one of the best for families. Solutions for Change in Vista has a 100% success rate in reuniting families and nearly an 80% rate for overcoming homelessness. It is a fully comprehensive, privately funded program addressing the root causes not the superficial. I was introduced to them a few years ago, and Jason Ventetuolo gave Rob and I the full tour and overview on their future growth plans on Friday. There are many ways to support their efforts if you have the time, but if you are already stretched I will be periodically picking up donations and delivering them. Look for my "needs" posts and DM me if you have items you'd like to donate and I will come get them. Thank you so much for your consideration.
