Want to know the three truths we’ll always be upfront about when it comes to selling your home? Here goes:
1. Your home isn’t always worth as much as you think. Why? Because chances are you’ve made improvements that are specific to your taste and lifestyle that don’t always translate to future buyers. In fact, some buyers may consider it a negative that you got rid of needed closet space to make a larger bathroom.
2. Kitchen don’t always sell a home. For example, just because you paid for professional grade appliances some buyers won’t know the difference and would prefer to save money in this area. We would say that in higher-price point homes this truth may not apply.
3. A home that is in move-in condition isn’t essential for a sale. Why? Some buyers want a fixer, so they can have the opportunity to make the property what they want it to be, with their own style and use of functionality. Keep this in mind when you create you honey-do list before you sell!
