Some moments stick with you and this was one of them. 🐾

At Frontwave Credit Union’s Pawpalooza on April 11, families came out to adopt, connect, and support local rescues. One family arrived with just 29 minutes left in the event, almost too late.

They weren’t just browsing. Years earlier, they had lost their dog, Lucky - a huge part of their family. Since then, opening their hearts again hadn’t felt possible.

As they walked through, their daughter Olivia suddenly stopped at a small dog and, without hesitation, whispered, “Hi, Lucky.”

A nearby volunteer looked up, surprised. “How did you know his name?”

That dog’s name was Lucky.

As they talked more, the timing made it even harder to ignore, this Lucky had been born just weeks after their original Lucky passed.

In that moment, everything clicked. Not as a replacement, but as something that felt meant to be. The family applied, and by the end of the day, Lucky II was adopted through Amazing Strays Rescue and going home with them.

Today, their house is full again with energy, laughter, and a new set of paw prints.

Frontwave is proud to host events like Pawpalooza because sometimes it’s more than an adoption. Sometimes, it’s a family finding its way back to whole. 🐾💙
