We’ve been working to build , update and improve this amazing property to make available for a long term beach/town lifestyle…

3 bedroom/3 bath , washer/dryer, new dishwasher , fridge , 5 blocks from beach and center of Carlsbad Village. Includes two car garage, Parking in driveway and plenty of storage space.

Why are wine bottles are exactly 750 ml (and not, for example 1 liter (1000 milliliters)?
In the 19th century the main customer of the French wine producers was England. The English unit of measurement for liquid volume is imperial gallon, which is equal to 4.54609 liters. To simplify the calculations when converting units of measurement, the French transported wine 225 liter barrels (or exactly 50 gallons), corresponding to 300 bottles of 750 ml.
So it came out to about 50 gallons = 300 bottles.
One gallon corresponds to 6 bottles.
And this is the reason why even today, wine cases often contain 6 bottles.
Not super sexy... but, it is about wine...and Europe and history...
Now, anyone know why most wine bottles have that scoope on the bottom of the bottle?
