I've traded in my party shoes for a life of sobriety, and let me tell you, it's a real upgrade. I'm a better mom, friend, spouse, and employee - and I don't have to worry about what I did the night before. Sober Brandi is my new jam -One year ago today I started that journey. 100% alcohol-free and loving it!

I just tucked my 10 year old Zaeden into bed for the last time. 😭
Zaeden will be 11 tomorrow morning at 8:41 AM & I’m over here trying to deal.
I’m so proud of how smart, kind, funny, artistic, athletic, and ambitious he is.
So thankful he made me a Mom & is a better son & big brother than I could have ever dreamed.
The world is truly your oyster, Z.
Always remember that I’m your biggest fan—& I’m sorry—but you will never be able to love me more. 🖤🎂

Waking up 39 once seemed ‘impossible’.
Then I woke up 39 (sick with bacterial pneumonia ATM) but nevertheless, grateful: with a beautiful wife & 3 kids who spoiled me with Angel Food cake, Mexican food, and even humored me with my Free Starbucks, 5% off at Target & a beautiful fireplace. 2 adorable dogs. A number of friends who i would die for and i know they would do the same for me.
A 6 figure salary & the certificates and titles plastered to my office walls.
But once I was Wayward. Lost. Drunk. Addicted. Cheap. Stealing. Lying. Chasing dopamine anyway i could get it.
It’s really about the ‘impossible’ in life that gets us through the dark days, huh?
Thanks for all of the birthday wishes today. It’s humbling to look back & peaceful to look forward. 🩷
