The tale of two condos...

It wasn't long after we listed unit 26 in Lockerbie Terrace that we started getting showing requests. The first one went well, then the second, the third and the fourth....and applications began to pour in. But obviously we could only take one. We found a great new tenant to lease our unit, but that left a couple other prospective ones feeling bummed.

Just about the time we had to break the sad news to one of the other tenants, another unit in the same building came up for lease. The call to turn the applicant down for our #26 rental, turned into an opportunity to represent them again. The rent was higher than we'd planned so we were able to get it negotiated down and rented to them!

It was happy ending and great week in Lockerbie. I'm so appreciate of all my clients (in this case a landlord and a tenant) for trusting me to help them with the lease-rental process.

P.S. for the best city views - find a condo downtown with a rooftop terrace!

Showing investment properties is not for the weak. This journey was almost enough to make me quit real estate ๐Ÿคช

We saw hoarder apartments we could barely walk through.
We battled the biggest spider on a door.
We walked across A LOT of really slanted floors.
We stepped over animal p**p at one entrance.
We found a dead mouse in the middle of a living room.
We stumbled on a (thankfully dead) snake in the road.
We tiptoed through one unit covered in cockroaches and other bugs.

I am still not okay.

But then...we came across this duplex that was thankfully clean and so well maintained ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

And this weekend, we are marching forward toward close with our accepted offer.

We see so much as realtors and it's always very interesting to sometimes learn how others live or maintain their properties. Standards are not the same all across the board. But we always appreciate when properties are well maintained, clean and ready to show!
