Notes from an Aquarium Guide:
One of my most asked questions as an Aquarium Guide is “Where are the seahorses?” This is nearly always from a visitor who had been to the MBA in the past and loved watching the sea- horses. Alas, we haven’t had seahorses in a number of years. But - now we are! On November 7th the new bilingual exhibition, “Ocean in Motion/La Danza del Mar” opens which aims to build empathy for ocean animals through movement and play. I’ve seen renderings of what it will look like and it is going to be phenomenal! It features a vibrant coral reef with a custom-built wave machine, an expanded African penguin habitat (the penguins have been behind the scenes for almost a year) and multiple play areas that encourage children to connect with the ocean and its animals.

🚗 A Car Week Memory Worth Revisiting! 🐎✨
As Monterey Car Week continues, I’m looking back at my American Dream TV interview from two years ago with Chanterria Gilbreth, Founder and Executive Director of the Prancing Ponies Foundation and Women’s Car Show.
Unfortunately, due to health reasons, this year’s Prancing Ponies Women’s Car Show had to be cancelled. I know it will be missed by so many of us who look forward to this wonderful celebration each year.
But we can still enjoy the energy, beautiful cars, and inspiring women who make this event so special! Take a look back with me at the show from two years ago and my conversation with Chanterria. 💕🏎️

We're thrilled to unveil the complete restoration of a 1929 Ford Model A (pictured with students and instructor Marcus Evans), the second project tackled by our newest program, Classic Car Restoration! Our students poured months of hard work into bringing this classic back to life just in time for Car Week!

Come see it in person! Visit the Rancho Cielo booth at the 4th Annual Concours Carmel on Thursday, August 13. We'll be out there ALL DAY, and we'd love to share more about our students and programs.

Some days I just have to pinch myself.
