I recently represented the seller in the off-market sale of 647 Somerset Dr W in Indianapolis.

Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Somerset Hills, this property offered something that's becoming harder and harder to find: 3.3 acres of privacy in a prime Indianapolis location.

One of the things I love about this business is that every transaction is different. Sometimes the best opportunities happen behind the scenes through relationships, conversations and knowing how to connect the right people at the right time.

It’s easy to get caught up in trying to predict the “perfect” moment to buy — but historically, real estate has always been a long-term investment built over time, not overnight.

For many homeowners, the true value comes from years of equity growth, stability and the opportunities homeownership can create over the long run.

That doesn’t mean timing is never important. Every buyer’s situation is different. However, waiting for perfect conditions can sometimes mean missing time that could have been spent building equity and investing in something of your own.

Photos, floor plans and virtual tours are helpful, but they rarely tell the full story of a home.

The natural light.
The feel of the neighborhood.
The flow of the layout.
The details you notice the moment you walk through the door.

I’ve had clients completely change their minds once they saw a home in person (both positively and negatively). That’s why, if possible, I always encourage buyers to go see the property if there’s genuine interest.

A home can surprise you in the best way, and sometimes, the right home isn’t the one you expected.
