“I had the opportunity today to join LoanCare and Stratmor Group for a conversation around customer experience, transparency and technology in mortgage servicing — and I’m incredibly grateful to have been asked to be part of it.
One of my biggest takeaways from the conversation was just how much our industry has evolved. Years ago, servicing performance was largely measured by SLAs and operational metrics. Those things still matter, but today we’re asking an equally important question: What was the actual experience for the customer? That’s something that really resonates with me and with how we approach servicing at Nations Lending. Our philosophy is Home Loans Made Human, and that relationship doesn’t end at closing. We’ve worked hard to build our servicing portfolio organically through the customers we originate, and we feel a real responsibility to protect those relationships throughout the life of the loan.
Technology, data and transparency give us better tools than ever to understand what our customers are experiencing — but ultimately, it’s about using those tools to make the experience better and keeping the human element at the center of it. I’m honored to have had the opportunity to represent Nations and share the lender perspective alongside such experienced industry leaders.
