Are you giving back to your community? In NH, I was heavily involved in my community, as you can see below. Since moving to NC I have missed that level of involvement. So after several months of attending many functions, I was inducted yesterday into the Rotary Club in Wilmington with my wife Carol as a sponsor.
- I coached everything from Softball, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, and Hockey
- Became President of the Souhegan Valley Softball League for 4 years that consisted of 6 towns, 900 girls, 14 fields, and 50+ supporting staff
- Appointed by town selectman for 2 terms to the Recreation Commission and for the last term was Chair of the committee
- Volunteered 1000’s of hours through companies I worked for – the last project was supporting a school in Durham NC that needed assistance – rebuilding play areas/exercise paths – teaching financial responsibility
- Also volunteering directly to the Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Kramden Institute, and community projects
Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create lasting change.
